MARISA LA GRECA
I am an Italian American from Chicago and have been living in Italy since 2014. Prior to coming to Florence I studied Italian language and literature in Siracusa, Italy and returned to complete a Master in Business Administration in Paderno del Grappa, Italy.
After, when I came to Florence, I began working in the field of international higher education, organizing programs for American university students here in Florence as well as other parts of Italy.
My experience teaching English reflects a wide range of age groups and activities such as private lessons, Italian public and private schools, summer camps and other short programs in the US and in Italy. I received my CELTA certification from the London School.
In addition to my role at MyES, I am working in an Italian elementary school in Florence, piloting their first year of a Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL) program in partnership with their sister school in Parma, Italy. I also work as a translator in the fields of business, education, and entertainment.
